《孤狼之血》的原著作者柚月裕子曾获得第69届日本推理作家协会奖，这部小说则被业界评价为“警察小说x‘无仁义之战’”。戏骨大叔役所广司和人气小生松坂桃李在片中分别饰演大上和日冈，一老一少的警探组合颇具看点，配角阵容中还不乏江口洋介、真木阳子等大腕。
